Who we are

PixlMethod is the umbrella brand for a suite of image and design tools operated by its two founders. It covers this website (pixlmethod.com) and the PixlMethod products, including ReadyPixl (readypixl.com), the ReadyPixl desktop app and browser extension, QuickPixl, Upscaler, and Pixl Engine. In this policy, "we", "us", and "PixlMethod" refer to that operator.

Data we collect

Account data. When you create an account or sign in, we store:

• your email address;
• your display name and profile picture, if you sign in with a provider such as Google and that provider shares them;
• an internal account identifier, and the timestamps of account creation and sign-in.

A single PixlMethod account works across our products, so this data is shared between them. We do not receive or store your Google password.

Product data. Settings, saved pipelines, presets, projects, credit balances, and similar preferences you create while using a product.

Images and files. Standard editing tools in ReadyPixl run locally in your browser or on your device — those images are never uploaded to us. AI-powered features (for example AI upscaling and AI background removal) require server processing, so those images are transmitted to the processing service, used only to return your result, and are not used to train models.

Payment data. Purchases are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. Stripe receives your payment details directly; we never see or store your full card number. We keep a record of your purchase and entitlement status.

Support and contact. If you email us or use the contact form on this site, we receive the email address, subject, and message you send.

Usage and analytics. On pixlmethod.com we use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site — pages viewed, referring source, approximate location, device and browser type, and anonymised interaction data. Analytics only run on the production site.

Technical logs. Our hosting and backend providers record standard server logs, including IP address, request time, and user agent, for security and reliability.

How we use your data

• to create and secure your account and let you sign in;
• to provide the features you use and sync your settings across products;
• to process purchases and apply credits or entitlements;
• to answer your support requests;
• to detect abuse, fraud, and technical problems;
• to understand which parts of the site and products are useful, in aggregate;
• to send essential service emails (for example account, billing, or security notices).

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your images or files to train AI models.

Google user data

If you sign in with Google, we request only your basic profile information and email address. We use them solely to create and identify your PixlMethod account and to contact you about your account. We do not request access to your Gmail, Drive, Photos, Calendar, or other Google services, and we do not share Google user data with third parties except the infrastructure providers listed below that operate on our behalf. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can revoke our access at any time from your Google account permissions page.

Who we share data with

We share data only with service providers that run our infrastructure, and only as needed for them to do so:

• Supabase — authentication and database;
• Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and storage;
• Vercel — application hosting for our web products;
• Stripe — payment processing;
• Resend and Postmark — transactional and contact email;
• Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity — website analytics.

We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the security of our services. Some of these providers operate outside your country, which may mean your data is processed abroad.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as light or dark mode), and run the analytics described above. You can clear or block them in your browser, but sign-in will not work without the session cookie.

Retention

We keep account and product data for as long as your account exists. Images sent for AI processing are kept only as long as needed to return the result. Purchase records are retained as long as required for accounting and tax purposes. Analytics data is retained according to each provider's default retention window.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can object to or restrict certain processing. To delete your account and its associated data, email [email protected] from the address on the account. We respond within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with providers that offer encryption at rest and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to limit what we collect in the first place — which is why standard editing runs on your own device.

Children

Our products are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our products change. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version, and material changes will be announced in-product or by email.
